On 23 and 24 September 2012, the International Advisory Council of the Basque Culinary Centre met in Tokyo. Representing the Council were Ferran Adria, Alex Atala, Gaston Acurio, Dan Barber, Yukio Hattori, Massimo Bottura and Joxe Mari Aizega and as special guests to the Tokyo meeting were Joan Roca, Harold McGee and Sven Elverfeld.
The questions discussed at the sessions held on 23rd and 24th September 2012 could, in our opinion, be vital in the training process of new chefs. A series of guidelines was also considered and adopted which could be important for the future development of the Council.
